The story of Little Red Riding Hood revolves around a young girl who goes walking through the woods on the way to visit her sweet old grandmother. Little Red Riding Hood wears a red hooded cape as she is walking through the woods to keep her shoulders warm. While walking through the woods Little Red Riding Hood encounters a wolf walking down the same path. The wolf immediately knows that this Little Red Riding Hood would make the yummiest of snacks and is very tempted to eat the young girl for lunch. The wolf knows however, that he could be caught eating the girl and decides to lure her somewhere private where he can eat her in peace.
The wolf asks Little Red Riding Hood where she is going that afternoon. Little Red Riding Hood thinks nothing of this cunning wolf being dangerous, and tells him in all honesty that she is on the way to visit her sweet old grandmother. The wolf tells Little Red Riding Hood that he must be going and departs. Though Little Red Riding Hood is walking toward her grandmother’s house the wolf is indeed faster than the little girl. The wolf goes straight to the grandmothers house and beats Little Red Riding Hood There.
This wolf has a great appetite for humans and cannot help but to eat the little girl’s grandmother when he arrives. After the wolf eats the grandmother he cleverly slips into her night gown and cap, slides under the blankets in the bed and awaits the arrival of Little Red Riding Hood.
When Little Red Riding Hood arrives at the grandmother’s house she is started by the strikingly odd appearance of her grandmother. She tells her grandmother, “my, what big hands you have” when she notices the larger than average size of her usually petite grandmothers features. Little Red Riding Hood cannot help pointing out how strange her grandmother’s features are, and when she finally gets to observing her grandmother’s teeth she says, “my, what big teeth you have”. The wolf responds with, “all the better to eat you with my dear” and gobbles down Little Red Riding Hood who is never to be seen again.
